Home Delivery
About the service
The library provides a free books-on-wheels delivery service to housebound members of the local community who are physically unable to visit the library.
How does it work?
As a housebound member you will receive a delivery from the library every two weeks. The delivery day is decided by you and the volunteer delivery driver.
The library has a wide range of items available for you to borrow:
- Books – fiction and non-fiction in either regular or large print
- Talking books – CDs or MP3
- Magazines
- Music CDs & DVDs
On your application to join the home delivery service, you let us know what sort of items and how many of each you want to receive in your regular delivery. Special requests can be made by calling the library or leaving a note in the delivery bag being returned.
As a member of the housebound service you will be subject to the same conditions of use as general library members where you may be charged for lost or damaged items.
How do I apply?
Please contact the Library directly by phone on 9286 8686 or contact us by clicking here.
We may require you to provide a medical certificate from your doctor to qualify for the service.
