Children’s Book Week
Children’s Book Week is run by the Children’s Book Council of Australia and celebrated each year in mid to late August. Book Week is the longest running children’s literary event in Australia, celebrating its 67th year in 2012. Every year Australian public libraries and schools devote a week to celebrating books, Australian authors and illustrators.
The Grove Library participates in this event each year.
The theme for Children’s Book Week 2012 is Champions Read!; and will be celebrated between 18 – 24 August.
