My Favourite ThingsPrepare for the festive season with the sound of music performed by some of Perth’s favourite singers.

My Favourite Things
Performed by Agelink Theatre

When: Tuesday, 13th December
Time: 1pm
Where: The Grove Community Centre

Dame Julie Andrews made her way from London to Broadway and Hollywood with one of the world’s most memorable voices.

After her success in last year’s Agelink show, songbird Alinta Carroll is joined by the fine vocals of Tim Schoenmakers to explore the life and times of the talented and much loved original My Fair Lady, singer, actress and comedienne. Together they recall many of the numbers you expect – and others that you don’t!

Sing along with numbers from My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins and have a rollicking good time!

Please contact The Grove library by Friday 9th December to register.

The Grove north face landscapeThe Grove is excited to be included in the
Presbyterian Ladies’ College Auxiliary Open Garden Day

Thursday 27 October 2011
10am – 2pm

This year, five private homes in the leafy riverside suburb will allow visitors to view their spectacular gardens, as well as The Grove Library’s new sustainable landscaping. Matt Huxtable, who designed The Grove’s garden, will do two landscaping talks at 11am and 11.30am. The Grove Library is conducting a tour of the sustainable building design at 10am for anyone who is interested.

Gardening and landscape experts will be available on the day to discuss the gardens and landscape design and PLC music students will provide entertainment. Also, local map artist Mary Yates, who recently painted a map of Peppermint Grove for the School, will host a walking tour.

All gardens are within walking distance of the School and a free bus will also be available to shuttle visitors between the properties.

Tickets are available at PLC – $20 for adults and $10 for pensioners.
Children under 16 are free.

All visitors receive a comprehensive PLC Open Garden Day booklet with flora and historical information about the gardens, as well as a schedule of events and information on the guest speakers.

PLC Open Garden Day is a fundraising event organised by the Presbyterian Ladies’ College Parents’ Auxiliary.

For more information, visit the PLC website, or phone 9424 6444
